Deal Card: Stobart Group
The BDO Leeds Lead Advisory team has recently advised on the £30m strategic investment by Stobart Group in newly formed Stobart Biomass Products Ltd (SBP) with market leader A.W. Jenkinson Forest Products Ltd. (AWJFP). Stobart Group appointed BDO to provide a detailed review of the commercial and financial rationale for this investment, while our London debt advisory team assisted with bank negotiations. The deal gives access to the rapidly growing biomass renewable energy sector, providing strategic synergies across Stobart Group's existing multi modal infrastructure and includes significant additional logistics contracts with both AWFP and SBP.
