Deal Card: Octopus and First Sports Group
The BDO Birmingham Transaction Services team recently provided due diligence services to Octopus Ventures("Octopus") on their investment into First Sports Group Limited ("First Sports"). First Sports is a sports clothing and equipment retailer, operating it's own shops and concession retail solutions within major UK gym chains, independents and hotel locations. First Sports were seeking additional funding to finance an aggressive roll out of new locations, including expansion into mainland Europe, as well as to develop it's e-commerce offering.
